The Substance Misuse Awareness Project is helping host an event called Drugs Uncovered: What Parents Need to Know, on Tuesday, May 24th from 6-8PM at the Board Of Education and parents of teens are invited. It is an educational night presented by the Poe Center for Health Education out of Raleigh. There will be education about signs and symptoms of drug use in teens and there will be a teen's bedroom set up and parents will be encouraged to search the room for drugs. Parents will also be provided with education on latest trends in current trends regarding alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. There will also be information on how to best communicate with your teen about this important topic.
This is a great opportunity for parents of teens!
